Use the assistant you already have on your real delivery data
Ask questions in plain English and get answers from your live engagements, time and billing. Turn emails and meeting notes into records you approve. It runs inside your Salesforce permissions, and there is nothing new to host.
Your assistant, with DAY ONE underneath
The assistant is the way in. DAY ONE on Salesforce is the governed system it works on.
Real questions, real answers
Ask which engagements are over budget or what is unbilled. The answer comes from live records, not a summary someone wrote last week.
Emails and meetings become records
Point a skill at a client email or a meeting transcript. It proposes the risks, actions, decisions or time entries, and shows a preview first.
Governed by default
The assistant acts as the signed-in user, inside Salesforce permissions. Each skill asks for your approval before it writes anything.
Nothing new to host: four parts, and you already run one
Your assistant connects through Salesforce's own connector. DAY ONE does not host a server. A request passes through the four parts from left to right.
- YouAsk, and approve any change.
- Your assistantRuns the DAY ONE skills and drafts. Your agreement with the provider applies.
- Salesforce's MCP connectorSigns the user in. Object, field and sharing controls apply.
- DAY ONE on SalesforceHolds your clients, engagements, contracts and time.

We set it up with you
Salesforce needs an external client app, OAuth scopes and some security configuration. We work through it with you and confirm your assistant and first task. Settling these five things is most of the job:
- Who is asking. The signed-in user and their Salesforce access.
- What it can do. The tools the connector exposes, read or write.
- What it uses. DAY ONE records and any email, calendar or document source you connect.
- What leaves your org. The data sent to your assistant provider, under your agreement with them.
- Who approves a change. The person shown the preview.
Questions about AI assistants
Can't see your question? Ask us directly.
Which AI assistants can we use?
Skills run in the assistant you already use, connected through Salesforce's MCP connector. Not every assistant can host skills; consumer ChatGPT on the web cannot. We confirm your assistant and first task before setup. See what skills need.
Does the assistant see every record?
No. The signed-in user's Salesforce permissions and the tools the connection exposes limit what it can reach. Connected sources and the assistant provider need their own review. How access is controlled.
Will the assistant change records on its own?
No. All six DAY ONE skills show a preview, and each skill asks for your approval before it writes. Whether another tool can write depends on the tools you expose, so read or write scope is a choice made at setup.
Does DAY ONE host an MCP server?
No. The connection is Salesforce's own MCP connector plus the DAY ONE skill files, authenticated as the user. Your data goes from your org to the AI provider you choose, under your agreement with them. This page covers DAY ONE in your own Salesforce org.
How is this different from Our approach to AI?
Our approach to AI sets out the principles and where your data goes. This page covers the connection: how an assistant signs in, what it can reach and what to settle first.
Start with one task for your assistant
Tell us the assistant you use, the Salesforce environment it would connect to and the first DAY ONE task to test. We will map the permissions, sources and review step with you.
