DAY ONE is one system of record for the work you sell, deliver and bill

DAY ONE is a professional services operations platform, built on Salesforce. The proposal becomes the structure for delivery. Time and costs attach to it, and WIP and invoices draw on those records, so nobody rebuilds the scope, rates or approvals.

On Salesforce; works with your Salesforce org, or available as a bundled edition if you don't use Salesforce.

Seeded demo data. The Hub of one engagement: its contracts, milestones, deliverables and tasks.

Follow one engagement through six steps

Every step works on the same record. The example is a NovaTech Care engagement, seeded demo data.

  1. Prospect

    Owned by Sales

Keep the customer, opportunity and proposed work in one place.

NovaTech Care, a customer telephony triage line.

  2. Proposal

    Owned by Sales

Set the scope, rates, billing model and approval path.

    A time and materials contract, $280,000, from 24 Sep 2026 to 14 Jan 2027.

    Scoping and Quoting
  3. Deliver

    Owned by Delivery

Start from what was agreed; changes and approvals stay on the engagement.

A $150,000 Design & Build milestone, with two deliverables.

    Delivery and Time
  4. Time and cost

    Owned by Delivery

Capture time and costs against the engagement and review exceptions.

Tom Westbrook’s task, Build & Configuration, takes the hours.

    Resourcing
  5. Bill

    Owned by Finance

WIP shows billable and pending work. Each invoice line traces back to its source.

The WIP balance, $72,504.50, is billed on one invoice for the same amount.

    Invoicing and WIP
  6. Post

    Owned by Finance

Send the invoice and close the month. Updates come back from your accounting platform.

With no integration, the invoice goes out by CSV export.

Any invoice line traces back to the work

When a line is queried, finance needs the answer from the record, not a hunt through systems. The Traces tab shows revenue, cost and margin traced back from the invoice, and the amount by person.

Questions teams ask

Can't see your question? Ask us directly.

Is DAY ONE a PSA?

DAY ONE does the job a PSA does for the commercial chain: contract, delivery, time, work in progress and invoice. It runs on Salesforce, next to your accounting platform.

Do we need our own Salesforce org?

No. DAY ONE Platform includes Salesforce; DAY ONE for Salesforce works with an existing org. Compare the editions

Does DAY ONE replace our accounting platform?

No. DAY ONE handles the operational and commercial record through invoicing. You can send invoices without an accounting integration, with CSV export as a fallback. Where you connect an accounting platform, invoices are pushed from Salesforce and updates come back.

How long does it take to get started?

Quickstart is the route to a working Prospect to Payment flow in about 30 days for a straightforward scope. It needs a sponsor who can decide, a core team available weekly and standard-first configuration. See Quickstart

What happens when we get in touch?

Tell us which handover, billing or reporting question matters to you. A member of the team will talk through the relevant Prospect to Payment steps and answer questions about your Salesforce setup and current tools.

Who owns the data, and where does it sit?

You do. With your own Salesforce org, your data is held in that org. With the bundled edition, it is held in a Salesforce org provided for you. You own it. See Security.

How is DAY ONE different from Sales Cloud or Service Cloud?

Sales Cloud runs the opportunity. DAY ONE runs the work after it: contract, delivery, time, work in progress and invoice. They work together on Salesforce.

How do we start, and what does it cost?

Start with Quickstart. List prices start from A$17 per user per month for a Consultant licence on DAY ONE for Salesforce, excluding GST, billed annually. See Pricing.
